Family photos are some of my all time favorites. I just love capturing the dynamics among members and bringing out the vibrant personalities of the little ones. I aim to capture raw, authentic moments that allow for unique personalities to come though the photos, as well as motion and movement in a natural setting (not big on staging). My newborn sessions are somewhat unconventional in that I don’t do standard studio shoots, but rather prefer lifestyle. I find that the most precious moments captured during those first few weeks of bonding, take place in the comfort of a new family’s home. If you are looking for neat, posed, perfection, look elsewhere. I love documenting authentic personalities and the true dynamic between family members during a natural exchange. During these shoots, I encourage my clients to play, laugh (or cry), and get their beautiful outfits dirty!
