Gahhhhhh. It's as if Rachel & James fell in love and planned an elopement just for me. When Rachel reached out to me, she was one of those "this is too good to be true" inquiries. First of all, she is breathtaking. Then, I saw pictures of James who...is equally breathtaking. They wanted to hire me to spend an afternoon in Stowe, VT while they eloped, including a gondola ride up to the top of Mt. Mansfield. Ummmmmmmm....YES PLEASE! After speaking with Rachel more, I also learned that she is the sweetest human of all time and, turns out, James was too.
We started at the Von Trapp Family Lodge and just walked into a beautiful little part of the woods next to the Highland Cows. A super cool officiant, Janet Dunn, married them as the sun kept poking it's face out from behind the snowy clouds, powdering all around us.
Then...we went up to the summit of Mt. Mansfield and, I'm not kidding, it was a white out! One snowboarder at the top yelled "you are literally the two most beautiful people I have ever seen" and he was 100% correct. We were only able to last about 10 minutes before the wind and cold made us run for safety but it was so incredibly worth it. It is an experience I will always remember and I really can't imagine doing it with two cooler people.
Then they split a cupcake in the parking lot and we called it a day. I was home in time for dinner.
